Keyworth Postcard record attempt

Keyworth & District U3A has sponsored a set of postcards for the Keyworth Postcard Record attempt that will raise money for a 'teen park' for the village.

Brief Summary

  • The plan is to beat the present world record for the most postcards posted in a single location on the same day.
  • The day of the record attempt is 14th July 2010.
  • The current record stands at 5216.
  • When buying stamped cards all the buyer has to do is put on an address (their own or a friend/relative) and pass them back to the seller or post them themselves on or before 14th July at Keyworth Post Office, Main St.  
  • When buying an unstamped card the buyer is responsible for putting on their own stamp and posting the card themselves on or before 14th July at Keyworth Post Office, Main St.
  • Cards posted before 14th July must be posted in the special posting box in Keyworth Post Office.
  • Each card will have a unique post mark to celebrate the event.
  • There are many other postcard sponsors.
